The Park Plot

July 2014

Early in 2013 we were asked by the Friends of Marple Memorial Park if the Allotment Association would like to maintain one of the existing flower beds.
We were happy to do this but our dilemma was what to grow, flowers or vegetables!
After taking a consensus, a vegetable plot was decided on, after all this is what we mainly grow on our allotment plots.
We have been pleasantly surprised by the encouragement from the people passing through the park.
Most of the plants that we grow are surplus from the allotment plots.

All produce from this park plot is for members of the public to take and enjoy.

The following pictures show the development steps.
